The galleria is located in the Yaiza hotel is located in the municipality of Yaiza.

This cottage is one of the most beautiful places in the Canary Islands, and in a peculiar place, next to the Timanfaya National Park and near the beaches of Papagayo, south of the island of Lanzarote, is the town of Yaiza.

Inside the gallery are re-creates of Italian Renaissance painters and Spanish painters of the School of Rome.

Museo de Cetáceos de Canarias


The Canary Cetacean Museum, opened on April 22, 2005, is a museum located in Lanzarote created in order to promote awareness, research and conservation of the natural heritage of the Canary Islands. The focus of this museum is on whales, dolphins and the marine life. It teaches us to be more sensitive to the environment in general and the marine environment in particular. It is the first museum dedicated exclusively to marine life in Spain.

The museum is dedicated to informing visitors of the rich variety of whale & delphin species which can be found in the waters around the island. Special emphasis in placed on the conservation of these species, with underwater films made in the waters of the Marine Reserve, and with unusual audio points where visitors can listen to the songs and whistles of both dolphins and whales recorded close to the coast of Lanzarote.

This museum is currently closed. Pl check if it has re-opened.

Hours:  Tues to Sat 10:00 to 18:00 hours. Closed on Sundays and Mondays and on the days 1st Jan, 6th Jan and 25th Dec of each year.
